Add/Alter F-22 Jet Engine Maintenance Shop
The Add/Alter F-22 Jet Engine Maintenance Shop project consisted of removal of asbestos VCT floor tiles, electrical upgrade for new lighting and crane system (Due to the age of building and installation of previous electrical components it was discovered that the previous system had no separate equipment grounds on any of the branch circuits. Equipment grounds were added to the scope with no delay in schedule.) Engine bays were provided with several new gas fired heater units and a new reconfiguration of the existing heaters. Four restrooms (2 men/2 women) were completely renovated with updated fixtures. (Prior to project, Bldg occupants complained of sewage backup and odor. Replacement of entire underground sewer line was included in the original scope. During partial excavation it was noticed that underground sewer line was concrete piping with no backup or leaks. Interior wall investigation concluded that the existing sewer drain piping did not have the correct drainage angle per Plumbing code which caused backup and odor. Interior piping was replaced and sewage drainage system works as advertised.) Also installed were two new overhead crane systems as well as new urethane flooring for a clean finished look.
