Construction Management
- Construction Manager for the $450 M MESA project at Sandia National Laboratories. Day to day construction management activities including project controls, document controls, procurement and construction inspection on five facilities including two central utility buildings, one micro-fab, one micro lab and a weapons integration facility.
- Directed the construction of over $10 M in underground utilities upgrades at Sandia National Laboratories and at a major microchip manufacturer, including storm water, sewer, potable water, electrical, telecommunications and recycle water systems.
- Managed the $75 M design and construction of a 120K sq ft class 1 cleanroom microchip manufacturing plant and 50K sq ft office facility for a major microchip manufacturer, directing six engineers with responsibility for scope, schedule and budget.
- Managed the design and construction of 180K sq ft of class 100 turbulent ballroom fab, CMP and Laser test cleanroom areas including process utilities, RMF, VLF fans, mechanical systems and interior architecture.
- Developed the site master plan for a 560 acre greenfield site to accommodate six 350K sq ft factories, central utilities buildings and offices for 20,000 personnel.
- Managed $81 M of high visible design and construction projects at the USAF Academy and Peterson AFB, Colorado.
Operations and Maintenance
- Responsible for 13 Million square feet of academic facilities leading over 200 craftsmen in the completion of over $5 million in operations, maintenance and renovation on the University of Texas at Austin.
- Directed over 190 personnel in the day to day operation and maintenance of $5 billion of land side and airside infrastructure for the third busiest airport in the world, including seven runways, 187 miles of roads, 6500 acres of mowed land and 1,000,000 square feet of facilities.
- Actively managed 150 engineering craftsmen accomplishing operations and maintenance on 1192 facilities and utilities on Aviano Air Base, Italy.
Resource Management
- Meticulously managed multimillion dollar physical plant budgets.
- Spearheaded a complete management review implementing a zonal maintenance program at the University of Texas, dividing the campus into three areas giving craftsmen pride of ownership and increasing customer satisfaction.
Project Engineering
- Completed a detailed analysis of a hospital’s HVAC system, designed new controls and air flow requirements for the surgical ward, maternity ward and isolation rooms, bringing the facility into compliance with strict standards.
- Modified 98 steam air handling units and distribution system reducing energy by 30 percent and maintenance calls from 137 per year to 18.
- Ramrodded an aggressive mechanical systems upgrade of aging infrastructure on Aviano AB, Italy designing and installing new mechanical equipment in several critical facilities.
Energy Management
- Intimately involved in the development of the Airport’s strategy to take advantage of utility deregulation and lower utility fees.
- Performed design analysis, constructability and maintainability reviews of two central utility buildings for the Microsystems and Engineering Science Applications project at Sandia National Laboratories helping the team achieve the goal of silver rating by the LEED Green Building Rating System.
- Analyzed and directed remedial actions for a number of mechanical systems in 28 facilities, achieving maximum efficiency and minimum energy consumption.

- Los Alamos National Laboratory, TA 16 Building 300, Los Alamos, NM. Complete renovation of 25,000 sq ft concrete structure that included new plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems. New architectural finishes including floors, walls and ceilings. $1,500,000.
- Kirtland Air Force Base, Fire Station #1 Ladder Truck Bay, Albuquerque, NM. Frame stucco structure. $500,000.
- Wells Fargo Bank, Albuquerque, NM. Drive-up teller lanes, concrete and structural steel canopy. $125,000.
